Parts of speech

I wanted to return to The English language again. I want to talk about Contractions. No, not the type that woman have during labor!

Contractions, along with an Apostrophe are used to shorten words.
In a world where everything seems to be abbreviated for our convenience to save time, unfortunately, even our language has fallen victim. Myself, I just feel that it is due to laziness, we cannot be bothered to write out the entire word.

Here are some examples:

it's           it is

isn't          is not

don't         do not

haven't      have not

you're        you are

can't          cannot

There are many many more that I could give. I just wanted to give you an idea.

These are the real mean time corrections that we are usually ignoring at the time when they are supposed to be highlighted. We should be making all the correction and it was nice of you to ensure that.
